Project

echoland ski resort

Location

echoland, hakuba

Scope

architecture

The proposed design is for a 2,250m2 boutique ski hotel, nestled within the upper areas of Echoland – surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Every detail of the hotel has been carefully considered to provide guests with a comfortable and memorable experience.

The hotel features 30 spacious "western style" rooms that cater to a range of needs and preferences. From cosy one-bedroom rooms at 35-40m2 to luxurious suites at 72m2, each room has been designed to provide guests with a sense of privacy and tranquillity. The rooms are arranged across three, two-storey blocks that are strategically placed around the site and connected by covered walkways to the central clubhouse – the heart of the development.

The clubhouse is a generous, inviting space that offers guests a range of amenities, including a gym, lounge, boot room, restaurant, bar, and an onsen. The onsen is a unique feature of the hotel, meticulously designed to create a tranquil and calming environment that allows guests to unwind and relax after a long day on the slopes.

The hotel's design is inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, with an emphasis on a natural material palette that includes wood, stone, and glass. These materials create a warm and inviting atmosphere that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment
